DocFetcher

DocFetcher gives you the possibility of finding any files on your disk instantly. It can index entire drives or specific folders, which is the secret behind its speed. The application works with any file type and it can perform searches based on various criteria. The best part is that its controls are very easy to understand, so you won't have any difficulties making the necessary preparations.

The compact user interface is divided between several panes, in which you may create one or more indexes, target specific file types, perform a search and preview text documents. Creating a new index doesn't involve anything more complicated than selecting a local folder or drive. Alternatively, you can decide to index from an archive, an outlook PST or from the clipboard.

Once you have at least one index, you only need to type in a keyword and click a button or hit the Return key and the application will find everything that matches your keyword instantly. The application allows you to select one or more file extensions if you wish to find files in specific formats. Specifying a minimum and a maximum file size as a search criteria is another possibility.
